| Description | A Leyden jar is constructed out of a plastic cup nested between two snugly fitting metal cups. After the jar is charged by Wimshurst machine, lift out the inner cup with a wand, and lift out the glass by hand (ask your student do it, is he/she brave enough?). Pass the parts around, and reassemble it, a large spark still can be drawn! |
